Good looking sweater, and it fits well. I used my $10 gift coupon, so I really feel like I got a good value. I'm a bit disappointed that Bean no longer seems to offer European wools. I purchased some Irish wool sweaters, from Bean in the past, and if you compare that wool to what is currently available you might be disappointed.
this is the second sweater of this kind we have purchased- my husband loves them; however after much wear the elbows wore out. How about leather patches!
I agree with all the many positive reviews. But when I washed one (cold water, hand wash cycle, special soap for wool, laid flat to dry on a wire rack), it shrank at least one size. After washing the second sweater (I did like them!), I stretched it as much as I could. It also shrank, but was still large enough to wear. I've washed cashmere and merino sweaters in the same machine, same cycle, same soap, etc with no shrinkage. Get a sweater one or two sizes too large, if you're going to wash this as directed on the label.
The sweater has a great fit you can tell it is a quality product. It looks great on and will for many seasons. That is why we love to order from L L Bean.
