I now have the large, medium, small and non-hanging versions and love them all. This little one is perfect for an overnight trip or sleepover. I found the color selection to be limited (I love purple), so I ordered black and added a monogram in rose. There were a lot of good thread choices, and I love how mine turned out! I've included pics so you can see the embroidery and size of the bag.
I just received the medium toiletry bag. I've used the same toiletry bag for the past 10 years or so, and it's one that needs to rest on a counter. I thought I'd try a different style. I ordered both the small and medium ones, as some reviews made the medium sound huge, so I wanted to compare the two myself. I find the medium a good size for a person traveling for a week or more. I just added my toiletries, and I can fit quite a few things in there without it being too squished or too loose. The small was too small. As the description states, it's great if you want just a few items to take to the gym or a weekend trip. I will be traveling for 10 days later this year, and I think this will be perfect. I like the idea that it won't take up counter space, but I am a little concerned about having a towel bar or something near the sink to be most handy for me. I am considering bringing one of those removable hooks that goes on any surface to place on a wall near the sink. I also like that it's soft-sided, so it squishes a bit in luggage, taking up less space. The reasons why I didn't give it a five star rating is because there's no good way to use it on a counter when that might be more practical in certain instances, and because the hanging hook is a bit small and might not work on all available bars/doorknobs. Other than that, this seems to be a great product. I ordered the navy blue. It's really pretty - it is kind of a bright navy. If this works well on my upcoming trip, I'm going to order more as Christmas gifts for my nephews who are now old enough to travel on their own. I always look forward to finding new Bean products to add to my collection!
First off let me say I use this bag everyday. I'm on my third one. The first one was amazing. Perfect. I only bought a new one because I wanted something new and a new color. Looking back I wish I still had it. The changes? It's cheaper throughout. It has a single handle unlike the original dual setup with Velcro. This new single handle broke around month 2. It doesn't have a hard liner in the bottom like the original so everything settles in the middle. The pockets inside appear to be mesh, but are not. The original were mesh so air flowed around whatever you put inside. The new one doesn't. The new one has these annoying side zipper compartments. The old one didn't. The only reason I am buying another one is because the handle broke and the zipper has come unsewn in a spot. It's hardly durable. The fabric is much thinner. Certainly not like the original one I loved so much. Buy it because it is unlike anything else on the market. It's not horrible by any means, but it could be and should be a lot better - and was. Are you listening LL Bean? I use this bag everyday I know what I am talking about! It is obvious they changed it to stay at the same price point. Companies should not do this. Give us a superior product and we will pay more for it.
I filled this organizer up quickly. I like the pull out section that has a coat hook and the organizer itself has a hook to hang on a knob or towel rack in bathroom. Order the largest one if you have electric razor and other items. I suggest you buy all the small travel items as one large regular deodorant takes up a lot of room or large toothpaste fills it quickly
