I had been using my Marine Corps issued hygiene bag ever since I was honorably discharged 5 years ago and it was looking rather busted so I decided to invest in a civilian model. The LL Bean medium version is perfect! It's the best hygiene bag I have ever had. I traded in my USMC woodland digi pattern for the kiwi green color, which I LOVE! It screams civilian instead of olive drab! I don't wear makeup so I use this bag to carry small bottles of shampoo, toothpaste, deodorant, bug juice, lotion, a brush, electric toothbrush, and a razor. It is plenty of room for low maintenance women and travelers who pack light. If you are one who can't leave home without their entire medicine cabinet, invest in a larger size. For all others, go with the medium. I do love the kiwi color, but it is see-through as you can see in my picture. I wouldn't carry tampons or condoms in the front or side pickets if you don't want others to see you have them in there. Otherwise, this is a great product, a fun and bright color, and a total upgrade from my military issue! FYI... My husband is in the Navy and he has the medium version in black. He prefers it to his blueberry digi pattern issued squid version. We both LOVE these hygiene bags! They fit perfectly in any coffin rack on military ships, in locker rooms, while camping, etc... This is just an all around excellent hygiene bag!
I am a guy who does a range of traveling from business trips to backpacking and this bag is perfect. I keep it fully stocked with my travel items and throw it into my duffle, backpack, suitcase, or car when I am ready to go. Its the perfect size for all of my essentials.
I carry a razor and travel size shave cream, toothbrush and paste, deodorant (full size), nail clippers, q tips, travel size cologne, bar of soap and liquid soap travel size, and a travel size gold bond and a simple comb. I could probably fit a few more items in if I really wanted to.
The hook is a great feature and I have used it to hang this on a shower curtain rod, door knob, tree limb and more. Having the mirror included is nice as well.
I would recommend a bigger size if you need a lot of stuff. My wife has a medium and a large for longer trips that holds all of her items.
I love leaving it stocked up and in my closet. I dont even think twice about having everything I need when I throw this in my bag.
I have had mine for years and my mom liked it so much I bought her one for Christmas. I love them. They are spacious and have enough room for all of my hair products, lotions, razor and any other miscellaneous items that need to travel with me.
I purchased the medium size bag a few years ago and don't go anywhere without it. Even at home I have it hung in my bathroom as it keeps all personal products close and organized. I've since bought one for my sister and daughter. It's the best I've found on the market and medium is the perfect size for traveling!
