I was somewhat disappointed in this bag (I ordered the medium for just myself) when I opened the package. I expected it to be a better quality product than it seems to be. Is that metal thing supposed to be a mirror? I didn't read anything about it in any of the reviews I read, but it is all scratched up and worthless for seeing yourself in well enough to shave or put on make-up so what is the point? I think it would have been better to leave it out because it makes the bag seem really cheap. I took mine off and threw it away. I did put all my travel stuff in it and hang it up, although I have not actually used it for travel yet. I do not think it will adequately hold full size bottles unless you buy the small size. However, with my travel size items it held up well when hung up. I think the shower caddy is flimsy and cheap feeling and the back pocket won't hold a full size soap travel container without it falling out. Bottom line: it is better than nothing and I think it will suit my needs until I can find something better so I am not going to return it, although I was seriously tempted to do so. I do not carry a lot of hair products or make-up with me compared to a some other women, so if you do, this bag will not work for you. Pretty much bare necessities for a woman.
I bought two of these bags. The large size and the lack of structure and flimsy materials make the bag useless for me. All of the items fall over and get jumbled together. You might as well just throw everything in a small duffel. The side pockets really need to be designed differently. They were not really useful for my items. The bag must be hung to be usable. We tent camp and hanging in the tent is not possible. I returned them immediately.
I love LLBean toiletry bags. I downsized to this one a couple years ago. I love all the pockets. It works really well if you can hang it. If you are in a situation where it can not be hung--it is difficult to use.
