Perfect for all travel. Roomy and convenient to use with plenty of room for all your toiletries. Waterproof pocket work's great for wet sponges or soap. Separate section for hanging in the shower is a convenient feature. Sturdy zippers that fold the unit up for packing. It makes travelling a breeze.
I bought this item to replace another aging toiletry kit that was beginning to have odor issues, but was still going strong as far as materials and build quality. Both kits held about the same amount of stuff, but the LL Bean has more compartments, allowing me to organize, which I like. There is one issue that gnaws at me, as it did last week when I did a couple of overnights to Furnace Creek Ranch in Death Valley, and the Lodge in Yosemite National Park: The diameter of the hanging hook is too narrow, and usually only fits on the hooks/studs on the back of a hotel bathroom door. Do you ever find yourself in the budget rooms, where the sink is outside of the bathroom and shower? And behind the sink is the closet? I don’t like having to walk the few steps around the bathroom door to place and retrieve things from my toiletry kit. I once left a kit at a hotel when I was checking out in a hurry and forgot to check the inside of the bathroom door. The toiletry kit I replaced had a large hook, with a wide enough diameter that allowed it to hang in the closet rack. Never worried about leaving it behind cause it was always visible in the background. The LL Bean hook is tiny and narrow by comparison. The attached photo illustrates the issue. I eventually hung it on a pants hanger and made it work. Another thing: when zipping the LL Bean closed you have to fiddle with getting the hook inside the bag. Would I recommend this to a friend? I might mention it, but wouldn’t go out of my way.
This organizer is perfect for travel size bottles and small containers. I love the side pockets where items you need to get to quickly can be stored also the inside zipped divider on the flap that I use for makeup. I can see what's in there when I need to find a particular item. It also fits into a small overnight bag with leftover space. Perfect for my needs.
