I have the medium size for at least 20 years and use it 5 or 6 times a year. I keep it stocked so that all I have to do is throw it in my suitcase. I am purchasing the large because my husband and I seem to be traveling with more toiletries. I like the idea of putting it in the washing machine, I will certainly try that. Even though it seems rather expensive, it holds up extremely well, as evidenced by 20 years of use and not a thing wrong with it! I would certainly highly recommend this item to anyone!
I've used this organizer often for years, showing no wear-and-tear. A big bottle of shampoo leaked in it on a recent trip (my fault), all over the inside. Not a sign of shampoo anywhere outside the organizer! My suitcase was protected although the inside of the organizer was a mess. I washed it after emptying the contents and it truly looks brand new after years of use. It seemed expensive to me when I bought it but the "cost per use" and quality make it a real bargain. For me, medium works for one person for approx 1 week trip. You can fit the smaller full-size shampoos and whatnot. Might want a larger size if you're sharing it with a partner or children.
I've had the medium size bag for about 15 years, it holds everything I need, even for a 2+ week trip. It still looks brand new, not at all worn. One of the other reviewers said she put it in the washer; I think I will try that. I bet I've used this 8 - 10 times a year; I just keep it packed so I am ready to take off for the weekend on a moment's notice. Great little bag!
Just received large family organizer for toiletries. On first glance this looks like a quality item once I opened it up and begin loading it I could see how flimsy it was. I've been searching for three months for a case for toiletries bag that I could combined medications and personal items and illuminate two bags into one.
After placing an internal bag into this one does it work halfway. The mirror was broken and for $50.00 is priced entirely to high. I do have enough room for my items but have not carried it on a trip yet as I travel 3 to 4 times per month.
If I find after my first trip that I have tossed mess, I will send this item back,and continue my search.
