I wanted a shower bag to keep in my gym locker so I wouldn't have to haul everything back & forth. I was hesitant to spend $30 on something to keep hidden in my locker but I knew the LL Bean name would last. This bag, right out of the shipping box, is REALLY nice. The material is tough, vibrant in color & the stitching is made to last. This bag holds everything I need it to with pockets left over. You know how women like to carry everything & the kitchen sink around with them? Well this bag is perfect for the woman who says "I might need that." :# Seriously, pretty much the only thing this doesn't hold is a giant Mag light & lawn furniture. I have several full sized hair products, a brush, toothbrush, toothpaste, hair bands #hair accessories, not the death metal hair bands from the 80's#, razor, shave gel, body wash, face wash, make up & a garden gnome. Okay, I made up the garden gnome...but still, there IS room for one should I feel the need to take one to the gym. I love the plastic & mesh pockets which allow for drying objects such as a razor or toothbrush. There is a nice mirror attached also so I can see if my mascara was truly removed or if I look like Alice Cooper. This bag is so sharp & helpful that I bought my husband one in red. He really loves his bag too. This bag is worth spending the extra $10 instead of buying a bargain bag made of duct tape & yarn that will fall apart. You won't regret buying this bag. Both my daughter and I have had these organizers in small size. We use them for trips of any length and take them with us when going to the swimming pool. Exterior nylon is rather waterproof, and it's convenient to use in the shower stalls, just hook it up to the handlebar or the shower head. I just purchased the third organizer in small for my husband as a Christmas gift, and I am hoping he will find it as useful as my daughter and I did.
Ladies...Believe me, this is waaaay too small for any trip. I was astonished at how small the medium travel organizer was...terrible! I sent it back right away. I'm not a huge product hoarder either, but it is completely insufficient for any women's regular products...hated it! Reminded me of a lunch bag!!!
Although this review will probably show up under the small personal organizer, it is for the Family Sized one. LL Bean--you have a glitch in your computer system that only allows reviews of the small organizer currently!! Anyway, I have owned this organized for about 7 years now. I bought it before I retired to used for the conferences, meetings, etc. that I had to travel to due to work. It was very convenient to have shampoo, soap, toothbrush, toothpaste, make-up, medications, etc. already packed and ready to go each time I was traveling. I had everything I needed and room to spare. The grandchildren started coming along on some of my trips so I added their items. Still plenty of room. I love the fact that this organizer has the hanging hook. I can hang it on the back of a door, over a shower wall, and any number of other places and everything is located conveniently in one spot. In addition I like the removable shower caddie which also has a hook. I can grab just that with my soap, wash cloth, etc. and take it into the shower and not have to worry about everything else getting wet. After I retired, my grandchildren and I made a couple of cruises. The Cruise Lines always tell you to make sure you keep medicine, an extra set of clothing, etc. with you. This organizer had enough room in it that I could keep my medicine, the kids and my toiletries, sleeping clothes and an extra suit of clothing in it. Yes, it was crammed in, but it did work, It was still light enough not to be a burden and was still easily carried. That gave me the idea to keep the sleeping clothes in it for camping. When we get ready for a shower in the bathhouse, all we have to grab is the organizer and it has everything we need. After all these years, the only thing wrong with it is that the velcro on the handle does not stick as well as it once did. I finally purchased each grandchild a small organizer of their own. However, my family sized one is the one that is still used the most. I'm thinking about buying another one just to get one of the new cool colors!!
