I ordered the small and medium versions figuring it would help me to make a choice. Well it didn't work. The small is the perfect size if I am flying and have to remove all liquids/gels and place them in a separate ziploc. The medium fits all necessary items and liquids but seems kinda big in my suitcase or duffle bag. Both have everything neatly organized. I don't think buying both is the solution. I need something halfway in between the two sizes.
LL Bean says they have refined and improved this organizer over the years and the truth is no they haven't. They have made it cheaper and yet it still costs $50. I owned the previous one for YEARS and only recently has the zipper failed. The new one is thinner material - I question how long it will last, the inside has less compartments - the side ones are now on the outside ANNOYINGLY the strap gets in the way, their is no hard plastic bottom like the old one had helping to support everything (now heavy items weigh it down and make it sag), and the interior mesh pocket that was great for wet items like a bath sponge since it needs air to dry is a mesh with a solid clear plastic behind it. Why? This bag is still nice, nothing else like it out there BUT it is not as great as the old one. I am disappointed they changed so much for $50.

I have been taking students to Europe for many years. Naturally, I thought I knew everything about what to bring to make a successful trip. Then one day as I was looking at luggage on your website, I stumbled on your toiletry bags. In all my 15 trips to Europe, I have used a large toiletry bag with a nice wide zipper exposing all my toiletry items...well, almost. There was always a hunt for certain items. I admit I really got tired of the hunting but considered it part of travel. Not anymore! I bought the small bag, but decided it was too small for my needs. It would work great for a man. The medium is the neatest thing since sliced bread! No more hunting. I just reach to get each item I need. I will tell all my future travelers about these wonderful toiletry bags...and I'll be giving them as gifts!
I got the medium personal organizer and it is perfect! The hanger is so good because nothing spills out when you use it and you can access everything with it open like that. And who wants to put anything on the floor or on the wet counter in a restroom? Not me. There are elastic things to keep the bottles upright and spaces for everything. The way it is designed is so good because you can pretty much stuff everything you need in there and it still closes just fine. The zippers are good and not sticky at all. There are additional side pockets on the outside for things that you don't want in with everything else (like for bug spray). My sister was jealous because my bag was better than hers! :)
