I ordered the small in black for my sister as a birthday present and decided on the medium in red for myself.
I keep all my makeup in the removable shower part as I find the main bag too cumbersome to put on a counter.
There is a big difference in size between the medium and small, the medium is awesome but I find it somewhat bulky especially if I don't have THAT much stuff to carry so I'm going to order the small for myself soon. The medium doesn't fit into my gym bag/overnight bag so consider buying the small if that's what you are looking for.

This bag is AMAZING when it comes to traveling. I'm only 17 years old, so I don't use the family size for my whole family..just me. But I NEVER travel without it! I can fit all of my make-up, shampoo, conditioner, soap, razor, shaving cream, mousse, hairspray, toothpaste, toothbrush, straightener, hair ties and bobby pins, medicine, etc...and YES that is at one time. It's so convenient to hang up so that everything is in reach. I love it and highly recommend it to anyone of all ages...just wish I would've found it before!
My 3 girls and I recently took a ten day trip to the beach. We lived in a tight-squeeze dorm/camp setting and lived out of this organizer. I found it to be very handy and useful for all our health & beauty type products (meds, razors, dental care, hair care, make up and lots MORE). The hook is a terrific idea so it can be hung wherever you need it to. The mirror did help in a pinch. The side pockets are convenient for more private items, and the see-through pockets are great for easily locating things like lip balm and ear swabs. I could easily envision each traveler using their own and I could definitely envision having one for each of my daughters at home as they reach the age of wanting to have their own personal products.
and everthing in its place! bought the medium size and it holds not only travel size but regular size shave cream, deodordant, colonge etc. Took on a trip to Stinson Beach and the hook/hanger made it great in a small beach house. Kept everything perfectly organized with no spills or leaks.
