I had to use this first before I reviewed it. Took it on a weeklong trip (with airline regulation size toiletries) and it performed superbly--there was much more room than I needed but I am not complaining. What really sold me was that removable shower caddy. It was great to take what I needed into the shower but not have to use up my family's minimal shelf space in the shower. The caddy went in with me and left with me. I got a lot of compliments on how well thought out the pockets were, and the color, from family members. They might order soon!

when my Grandaughter was 2 years old I bought this bag.8 years later it still looks brand new. I store my toothbrush, my shampoo and conditioner and occasionally my clean ( and dirty ) underwear with room to spare!(size 3x )
Ok! I am planning to take a 17 days backpacking trip overseas, my only piece of luggage would be a 55 Terra-North Face, so lightweight and small items is key when packing! but challenging for a female.. so based on the reviews below I decided to go ahead and order the medium one, thinking it would be perfect for me to pack only the essentials toiletries and some make up! Wrong! ...Well it's perfect!!! but.. if you are a type of minimalist backpacker that like to take only the essentials items with you, then this item is not for you, It's HUGE!.. I love this items but it is just not for my needs, I am doing an exchange for the small one...

Originally i ordered two, one for the adults and one for the kids. My partner who is a firefighter and is away from home a lot seized one to take for work (later i got a pic of it hanging in her locker). She said the medium works great for her. So, i ordered a third one. These are very durable but lightweight, not bulky either. I would recommend medium one for your shorter 3-4 day trips.
