I bought this organizer to replace a simply drawstring bag that I used to use for toiletries when I travel. This bag is so much better than my old bag. I can store so much stuff in here and there are so many pockets that I can keep everything organized the way I like it. It's easy to find what you're looking for and the hanger for the door is a great feature. I ordered the sketchy plaid organizer and it looks modern and stylish. I would highly recommend this organizer.

I absolutely love the design and workmanship of this toiletry bag. I also love the prints and the way new prints are introduced from time to time, so everyone can have something that suits them. In my opinion, it's L.L. Bean's signature item and represents well the superior quality of the company. I've bought 8 or so in the medium size for various family members - in fact the only person who doesn't have one yet is me, and I think I'm next up. :) They are perfect for going to the cottage where you are sharing a bathroom with numerous other people...just hang it on a hook and when you leave the bathroom, grab it and it goes with you. Everyone who's received one from me has loved it, with the exception of one college-aged niece who - as incomprehensible as this may seem - simply doesn't like to organize her possessions. She says it makes her feels 'too restricted' to have all those little pockets, and she actually prefers to stuff everything all in one place. She gave hers away to her mother, which upset me, as I'd chosen a pattern with her favourite colours and had it monogrammed. I'd planned to get my sister one in a different color with her own initials for her birthday. Oh, well, the best laid plans...at least she liked the products I'd tucked in it. My point is that while most of us are drawn to organizational tools like a moth to a porch light, this attraction may not be universal. Don't get too zealous with the gift giving before checking with your recipients!
I agree with MDSkiMom that the Family Size bag is a big disappointment. Indeed, it has no structure and the wrap over "lid" just flops back and forth, very difficult to put items in and out. The size is huge; I carry brushes, a flat iron, phone chargers, plus all the extra stuff that ends up in "mom's" bag, but there is still a good 40% of room left. I rationalize that I can also throw in a pair of shoes or something, but then the bag is so heavy it can't be carried easily (unconstructed handle), and can't imagine this monster ever being hung up by the hook (even when half empty). The Large doesn't look big enough for my needs. There are lots of pockets, but again the floppiness makes it hard to get in and out of these without a firm two handed grip on the whole bag. I loved the idea of this organizer, but it's just not right for my needs.
I am impressed. I am away from home six months a year. I have to keep a lot with me and this bag offers an easy solution. I am very impressed and can't wait to load it up. Good job LL.
