I purchased the Large years ago for my husband and I to use on trips. It is a perfect size for the two of us and we always keep it stocked and ready to go. It is extremely durable, practical and functional. After years of vacations and weekend getaways, it's still as good as ever. I loved it so much I got two more Large for our 2 kids plus a Medium for my husband to use for his frequent business trips. Best product ever from LLBean!!!
This was a holiday gift for my 12 year old daughter. The smallest personal size bag is great for one person, even for overnight trips. There is plenty of room for necessities and the multiple compartments keep things organized. This newer model has additional side pockets which are very functional. My daughter loved the patterned fabric choices and monogram options that were available.
As a senior in college, applying to PhD programs in the Northeast/Midwest I felt the need to finally upgrade from the random and inadequate toiletry bag I pillaged from my parent's house years ago.
The big thing for me, is that I can fit everything I need for when I go to the gym, visit home, or friends in other states. (Razor, shaving cream, travel sized-shampoo/conditioner/body wash. 3 medicine bottles, face lotion, after-shave, toothbrush, toothpaste, floss, deodorant, cologne. -- With room to spare!) There are tons of compartments allowing you to organize to your heart's content. I have actually began to keep everything in the bag permanently, leaving it hanging in my bathroom. Since it allows me to keep everything organized and out of my roommate's way.
The three external pockets are also a great. I like that can place items in the pockets so I can access them quickly while on the road.
My co-worker is going on a 2 week cruise. I drew her name out of the hat for Secret Santa and found this bag which was in the price range for the rules. She loved it, perfect for the size of the bathroom on the ship and she plans to use it on shore trips.
