I enjoy the beach and love the sand dollar theme of this bedding. I have it for about a month. Having read prior reviews, I checked out the sand dollars. They are raised, but sewn securely to the quilt. Haven't washed it yet, but will follow the washing directions and use a gentle cycle.
I PURCHASED THIS QUILT AND MATCHING SHAMS, SHEETS, SUMMER BLANKET AND ACCENT THROW PILLOW FOR MY MASTER BEDROOM AT OUR BEACH HOME IN 2008. I LOOKED EVERWHERE FOR A BEACH THEMED ENSEMBLE AND THIS WAS JUST PERFECT! ALSO PURCHASED THE COMPASS THEMED ENSEMBLE FOR THE GUEST ROOM. LOVE BOTH SO MUCH AND GET TONS OF COMPLIMENTS. HOWEVER, I AM EXPERIENCING THE SAME PROBLEM AS THE PREVIOUS REVIEW WITH THE STICHING PULLING LOOSE ON THE CENTERS OF THE SAND DOLLARS. ALSO, THE SHEETS AND PILLOW CASES ARE NOT WRINKLE RESISTENT AND THE BORDERS CURL AFTER WASHING AND NEED TO BE IRONED IN ORDER TO LAY FLAT.
Nice weight quilt with beautiful soft colors. My only complaint is the raised sand dollars come unsewn and are difficult to repair. So be gentle when handling.
