been looking for a decent water shoe with a low price and found it in this sandle...couldn't see paying $99 for a sandal like the keen brand. Bought this for a friend and she loves it...she says if fits great and is comfortable for her wide feet.
I found these sandals to be sized accurately and very comfortable in a "cushiony" kind of way. I take a size 7 and these fit perfectly. I love that my toes are protected, yet my feet stay cool. A small percentage of folks have complained about the drainage holes in the footbed being uncomfortable and leaving blisters, welts, etc. I have had no problem with that. The first 2 days I could slightly feel the presence of the drainage system but it did not cause any discomfort. By the 3rd day, I couldn't even feel them. Regarding the drainage holes, there are rows of tiny holes present in certain places on the footbed. The rows themselves form a slight indentation in the surface of the footbed; it may be the ridges from the indentations that were bothering people versus the drainage holes. I think this is something that would resolve itself as the sandal molds to your foot. I would highly recommend this sandal as it is so comfortable and well-priced. I like them 100 % better than the Keen Venice H2's I recently returned. The Explorers are more comfortable and attractive than the Keens, and I like that my toes are protected by leather straps versus a rubber toe bumper (which turned my toenails black). So give them a try, they're great!
Loved them at first. But sent them back quickly. After a few times wearing them to go for walks the outer front (the tip, or toe area) became frayed. It is a cheap rubber, that can even be easily dented with a long finger nail for example. Extending the more durable rubber that is on the bottom of the shoes to the front toe/tip area would prevent this problem. I am very disappointed because the shoes are very comfortable and cute. I may have kept them if they were not so pricey. But when paying that price I expect better quality.
I absolutely love these sandals! I have 2 of the 3 colors available and probably will end up getting the third. They are so good for walking..they have enough support to walk the dogs on the city sidewalks and getting wet is not a problem.
