I was somewhat skeptical when I placed the order for these explore sandals. There are a number of negative reviews posted especially about how the slits caused blisters in some people. Well, I am glad I did not base my decision on the reviews. The shoes are great. I find them very comfortable for many outdoor activities (walking, biking, beach, etc.) as well as just going to the store. The explorer sandal was a great choice for me. As a note I tend to go barefoot around the house (both inside and out) so I think my feet are a little tougher than those that do not walk around with no shoes.
Perfect fit. Extremely comfortable. Have not yet used them while kayaking, which is why I purchased them; however, love wearing them for a regular day. Great ventilation, too, so your feet don't get hot. The comfort of slippers!
I have trouble with shoes "crowding" my toes and fitting my narrow heel. These shoes are like walking on (and in) a dream! They are so comfortable it's like not wearing shoes at all. My toes have plenty of room, the shoes don't slip on my heels. No break-in period at all. They have been comfortable since the moment I put them on.
I just got my package today, and I simply cannot believe how comfortable these sandals are! I do like the red, but I would REALLY LOVE to see these sandals in some sort of purple in the future... They fit me perfectly, and my custom orthotics fit in them without moving around! I wish I had purchased them at the beginning of Summer instead of so late in the season - oh well, at least I can enjoy them this Autumn, and look forward to wearing them next Summer when my daughter and I are hiking in the mountains (o:
