Not only are these Bean sandals nearly $40 less than most Keens, but they also don't have that awful footbed smell that quickly develops in many Keen sandals. While comfy, Keens just can't really be cleaned well, even with a special sports formulated laundry detergent and frequent washings. Keens also required a somewhat uncomfortable breaking in period.
These Bean sandals are different. They were largely comfortable right out of the box and well broken in within 2 days. I found them to be true to size as well as well supported in the arch. The footbed is rubber with ventilation openings and mesh in those vented areas so there's virtually no odor. As needed the footbed can be easily wiped clean. I wore them for a weekend of camping and they got pretty messy. They machine washed beautifully and air dried in about a day.
If you love the comfort of Keens but don't like the footbed smell or the price then I'd highly recommend you try this sandal. I hope Bean never discontinues this product. An enthusiastic A++!

I love these sandals. They keep my feet cool and comfortable. I think the size is a little short, I normally wear either an 8.5 or 9 and I ordered a 9 in these and I'm glad. They just fit. I have high arches and these aren't as supportive there, but all around they're great to work around the yard or go hiking in. I just don't wear them to playgrounds that have mulch ;-)

Leather straps ultra comfortable. Used seriously first week with no blisters. Feet stayed cool and comfortable during many hours of walking. Attractive. Plan to buy second pair!
