I love these sandals but at first I wasn't sure about the little slits on the bottom. I thought I wouldn't like the feel but after wearing them I didn't notice it any more. I now wear them all the time and they are always very comfortable! Thank you L.L. Bean.
excellent sandal. i would highly recommend them. they were perfect for my recent vacation to the bahamas where i did alot of walking the flats.(that's very shallow water for long distances where the bone fish run). these sandals deliver exactly what they say!....great for dry hiking on the beaches, rocky areas and water sports. they dry quickly and are odor free even after being in salt water for a week!.....i recommend rinsing in fresh water after just to keep them in good shape. and to boot......these were the best price of all the other brands of explorer sandals i looked at.
I just wore this pair of sandals on a trip to the Copper Canyon in Mexico. They served me well on the desert, mountains and beautiful seashore of San Carlos. I was very pleased with the comfort.
I don't care for the vents in the soles. I am wearing them for every day use and I can't even walk across the lawn without my feet getting wet. The venting is uncomfortable on the bottoms of my bare feet. I think they should be advertised for water use only.
