Just got my sandals in the mail, put them on and love them. A previous reviewer stated that the drainage ports were uncomfortable, and I agree. I have sensitive feet so what I felt was like grit in the shoe. However, I remedied that easily. The discomfort is a tiny amount of rubber near the ports, and some in the L. L. Bean logo inside the sandal. I took an old cuticle nipper and removed the excess and wahlah...no more discomfort. I have worn them the entire day since they arrived in complete comfort. They have good support and minus the small nibs of excess rubber on the insole...perfect. Go ahead, if your looking. I don't think you will regret it. Oh yes, and by the way they are true to size.

These were actually purchased for my daughter. This is her second pair and she loves them for their comfort and the fact that they are waterproof. They're airy like a sandal, but stay on your feet for more serious endeavors like hiking.
These sandals will not need any break-in period. They are comfortable right out of the box. The toe box is extra roomy, perfect for my hammertoes. I plan to use these instead of my hiking boots, for all but the most strenuous hikes.
