It's a great sandle and I would give it 5 stars for comfort and being water proof(drys within an hour after being soaked) except that it has holes in the bottom, (I think they said drainage holes), and you have to be carefull what you step in because whatever you step in gets on your foot. It is really bad when walking on dirt or sand, because you might as well not be wearing a shoe! I would recommend this only to people who never walk on sand, dirt, or anything else they wouldn't walk barefooted on.

I love love the explorer sandals. Many of my friends have another brand. They want to try LL Bean now. I am very anxious to get to Florida and walk the beach and in the ocean with them. Hope they are great there, too.

I bought these to replace a pair of Tevas that had way too many miles on them. I ordered my size, which fit very well barefoot, and just slightly snug with a pair of socks, which I was able to adjust with the lacing. The shoes are just slightly wide at the ball of the foot, but not enough to cause slippage.
I took them out for a test walk with the dogs, who are enthusiastic walkers, and we had a great time. I wore them the rest of the day without any discomfort.
I am impressed by the construction of these shoes, and I love that they don't have laces to tie! I hate having to stop and tie my shoes while I'm out on a walk.
