I LOVE this sandal, but I wish it was offered in a wide width. They would be much more comfortable for those of us with wide feet. I gave 4-stars due to the fact it's not available in wide.
When searching for water/hiking shoes to take on cruise excursions, I discovered the Explorer Sandals. Some friends recommended a more expensive brand, but after reading the reviews here, I decided to give these Explorer Sandals a try instead. So I purchased a pair for myself and my two teenage sons.
What a hit! The shoes arrived just before our trip, allowing no 'break-in' time, but that was not a problem at all. I could not believe how comfortable they were - for walking anywhere. And, amazingly, after walking through rivers or on hikes, these shoes still looked like new.
Now that we're home, I've been wearing them constantly. Great neutral color and soft padding inside to prevent rubbing (a problem I've had with other brands of sandals). Would highly recommend these to anyone, active or not, who wants a great pair of extremely versatile and comfortable sandals.
They are comfortable, good looking, fit great, true to sizing. Just love them. I have wanted a pair for a couple years, finally got a pair. They are great!
I have a similar pair of sandels, a well-known brand name but THESE are definitely superior! They are very comfortable and I love wearing them when sailing!
