I bought these sandals to wear on a rafting trip to W. Virginia my family is taking in June. I started wearing them last week so as to 'break' them in. Wow, no breaking-in period required. I've barely taken them off...very comfortable sandals. Run a tad big, but I wouldn't go up or down a size....better to be a little big rather than a little small. Bought a pair for my daughter & am thinking of getting a second pair for myself.
I loved the look of these in the box and loved them even more when I put them on. They look great with shorts or slacks. Even my 17y.o. daughter told me she liked them. The sizing was perfect for me.
I love, love, love these sandals. I have a narrow foot and these work perfectly because they wrap around the foot. The holes are great for wet climates and the beach, if you happened to get them wet. The draw cord holds securely. I have light green from last year and now taupe. I prefer the leather to fabric because of the mesh vented areas. The broad sole also provides needed stability so that the foot does not roll over. Strangers have stopped me in stores and on the street to ask me where I got them. Fantastic!
I read the reviews before purchasing this sandal. They are really the most comfortable sandals of any style that I've ever worn. LLBean, please don't change them too soon. I need time to order more. I wouldn't mind a couple more color selections, such as a muted orange (not pastel orange) or a medium shade of denim. Come on ladies, let's buy more and convince LLB to expand the offering!
