I took these shoes on a canoe trip with many portages. They were fantastic. They are great for camping but also for just everyday summer wear. I wore them several weeks before just cooking in the kitchen.
Your sandals are so comfortable & stylish. At my place of work we cannot wear open toe shoes, these shoes are perfect! There is enough closed toe to obey the regulations and also look so good w/ my casual clothes. I had problems tripping and turning my ankles w/ regular sandals/flipflops esp. on uneven terrain, w/ Beans sandals I can walk with ease. Thank you beans for all you do.
I've had my sandals for well over a year now and am amazed at how often I use them because they are SO versatile and comfortable. They are still in great condition and are well made and rugged. I was especially impressed with them after a recent hike required fording a thigh high fast moving river; they gave me support and grip that most sandals could not, they dried fast, and best of all...after that, they looked brand new again. I'm planning on ordering another pair..just wish they came in blue.
I purchased these shoes anticipating a lot of walking during a 2 week August trip to Rome w/ husband. I wanted a shoe that was cushy and allowed for breathing (ie--I didn't want hot, sweaty feet at the end of the day!). These shoes exceeded my expectations. We walked miles each day from monuments, to basilicas, to catacombs--you get the picture. No blisters, no damp socks at the end of the day. I recommend these shoes for anyone who plans on doing any kind of extended walking.
