This shoe felt great from the moment I took it out of the box. We went camping and canoeing and it was great for a 4 day trip. I never took them off. My son tried to take them away from me because he thought they were so comfortable. He wants a pair. I think the whole family will have a pair by the end of the year.
I bought these for hiking because we like to go on trails with waterfalls and they will be great for this. I have not had the chance to go there yet but I did wear them on an outing to a historical site close to home and they were very comfortable and cool. I love them!!!!

The Explorer Sandal is very close to the Merrell Chameleon sandal which is no longer available. I have never been disapointed in any purchase from LL Bean. It is the place to shop for quality merchandise at fair prices.
I bought these just before a week of camping in Maine and wore them every day! They are comfortable from day one - no breaking in, no rubbing, no adjustments. They were good for light hiking, hanging around the campsite, walking in town, going out to dinner...everything. You can change how tight they are with the elastic cord - but there's no need to adjust it each time you put them on - just slip them on and go! The fit is true to size. Don't miss out on these!
