I ordered a pair when they first came out. The old ones had large square drainage ports in the sole with screening sewed in. The knots of the sewing thread hurt my feet and I returned them. I went with a pair of Keens which delaminated due to frequent use wade fishing and drying in sun. I read the reviews of Explorer and found that LL changed the ports in the sole to small holes and elminated the sewing of screening. So I took a mail order shot. The Explorer have really been great. They are lighter and cooler than the Keens. I have been wearing them daily for about 3 weeks.
I ordered a 1/2 size larger because my feet are EEE. They fit perfect.I also found the non-adjustable heel strap to be no problem.
