These sandals were actually bought for my husband, but I previously bought a pair for myself. They are the most comfortable sandals I have worn. I bought them for a hiking trip to the red rocks in Arizona. They have great traction, great ventilation, and keep your feet covered from injury. I would recommend them to anyone highly. I just wish I could wear them to work.
The Explorer sandals are a pleasant surprise. I am 6' 4" and 235#, have large, wide feet and the sandals are quite comfortable when worn for long periods of time. Whether in the water or on land, they have excellent traction on any surface. Considering the price I paid, I think they are a much better value than other sandals I have owned costing more than double what I paid for the Explorers.
I bought these for my husband who seems to wear out sandles quickly. We've purchased other things from LLBean and they have been very high quality so I talked him into getting these. Needless to say, he was extremely pleased with them. He said they are very comfortable, so much so that he could probably even run in them if he needed to.
