ProsDurable, Great Value, Comfortable, Performing as Expected

I ordered the Explorer Sandals for use on walking vacations. My intent was to replace my current Clark sandals. Upon receipt, I found them shorter than advertised & generally uncomfortable. Before my purchase, I'd read critiques about the difficulty putting them on. I see the problem, but suggest the style of shoe lends itself to that difficulty since unlike traditional sandals, the rear strap doesn't separate. I returned mine as I didn't feel they were of the quality I expected.
I bought these for my eleven year old son, and he likes them very much. Right from the first they were comfortable. I like them because, obviously, they protect the toes better than do open-toed sandals. I can't tell if they are long-lasting because we just got them recently, but they seem sturdy. I think they'll be great for camp.
