This is one of the only baby items that we will never be without, we will just keep sizing up as he grows.
My son is on the skinnier end of the spectrum. We started out with the 12-18m size and that fit my son until he was 2 (the sleeves pretty much still fit but he grew too tall in the trunk). He wore it daily so we bought another in size 2T and that fit him until he was over 3. Again, he loved this sweatshirt so much that we just bought it in size 4T to give to him for his 4th birthday and it's too big but he doesn't care.
He loves the minky lining and I love that it washes well and stands up to toddler abuse. In fact, we've saved the smaller sizes for his sister to use next, and they still look fantastic.
My son looks good and comfortable in this hoodie. I like how the fleece lining is a different color from the outer fabric. I like colorful children clothes. With enough layers, he will be warm in this jacket even during winter.
I bought this hoodie in an infant size for my son, who was born in Oct 2013. He outgrew it earlier this year, and I just bought him a new on in a toddler size for this winter and hopefully next winter as well. We're in Texas, so a good mid-weight jacket is a must for all those chilly-but-not-really-cold days we get in the winter.
The fabric shell is sturdy but soft, and the fleece lining is oh-so-cozy - I think LLBean should make teddy bears out of it too, you just want to cuddle it. I even bought one of the women's version for myself because I was jealous of his awesome jacket.
We haven't received the toddler jacket yet since we just ordered it, but the navy color in the infant version is a nice neutral blue. They didn't have that color when I went to order the new one, so we got treeline, which looks like a somewhat brighter/bolder color, so we'll see if it's as versatile as the other one we bought.
I bought this for my 2 year old grandson. It fits very nicely and he loves it. He had to wear it right away. His mother said it was very warm. It was a great choice.
