This jacket has already become a favorite. I am a teacher and have parking lot duty at the end of the day. Whether its rain, wind, or frigid temps, I never feel the uncomfortable, numbing effects of Jack Frost. During early morning hours, when I'm scraping frost off my windshield, my Ascent Polartec fleece jacket provides the warmth of a good hug:)
I have another windstopper fleece, but this jacket puts it to shame! The fluffy pile inside traps your heat and the adjustable hem is a nice touch. I normally take a medium in a fleece jacket, but since it is "Fitted" decided to try the large so I can layer more. Glad I did, although the one drawback to a slightly larger fit is that the sleeve cuffs aren't as snug. It really kills the wind--I live on Cape Cod and winter beach winds are wicked. Worked like a charm! Well worth the money. My only complaint are the zipper pulls. They're just loops of thin climbing rope. Would've liked some sort of toggle or piece to really yank.
I really didn't want a heavy, parka-type jacket for this winter. This is a little light for standing around in the coldest weather, but it's great for walking or playing outside with the kids. The fit is terrific, just enough of a taper to the waist so that it doesn't look overly bulky. This was supposed to be my weekend jacket, but I've been wearing it to work every day.
Purchased as a gift. Has a great fit, nice contour and warm; exchanged the ice blue for paper white, which is an awesome neutral to go with jeans or khaki pants! Perfect for personalizing with monogram on left chest!
