I bought this jacket a year ago and have worn it every day. And while it is a flattering fit, it is not just another pretty face: this jacket can take a beating. It washes up well too. I wear it training and competing outside with my dogs, and I've worn it to work with dress slacks. I always get compliments! and it is always appropriate. I've never had trouble with the zipper at the collar. Today I ordered another one :-)
I absolutely love this jacket! I have always been a medium in LL Bean and stuck with that size when I bought this jacket. It is form fitting which I like. I wear 1-2 layers under it. A thick sweater, however, would probably not work. It looks really polished and nice when I go to work. Perfect jacket for going around town and shopping too! And...I wear it under my snowboard jacket and it keeps me toasty on the slopes. It stretches all over so it's perfect when I do my S curves. I just bought one in small for my middle school aged daughter because she keeps wearing mine!
Nice looking jacket! Great for running errands and quick trips outside in cold weather. Paired with the Women's Ascent Jacket with Gore-Tex, it is great for extended time in cold weather! This is true to size unlike the Gore-Tex and the Women's Ascent PrimaLoft Hooded Jacket. They tend to run small.
I needed a lightweight but warm, water repellent jacket for the winter. This is perfect. I ordered one size up to accommodate sweaters and it fits perfectly. It is very flattering and the neck zipper closure is quite comfortable, despite what other reviewers found. Thrilled with my purchase!
