Although it was 5 stars, I was hesitant to purchase after reading about the collar problem and I didn't need a jacket for 100 mph winds. The stiff wind guard under the zipper is just too long--going up into the collar; so when wearing the jacket unzipped, or half zipped, the collar was a problem. I fixed that with my exacto knife, and a steady hand! I cut about 5 and a half inches of the stiff fabric off the collar portion and the jacket looks and works beautifully now. With very little effort, this is a GREAT buy!
I was very disappointed to receive this wonderful jacket and find that the piece that is sewn in behind the zipper is very stiff...not made of the same wonderful material as the rest of the jacket. Actually it's stiff like cardboard. Why did they do this to a soft jacket? Anyway, had to return it. Too uncomfortable.
I bought this jacket a year ago and love everything about it except two things. Minor one: the collar is stiff, stands up well but it is impossible to put it down. Major one: the jacket is too short in the front and a t-shirt or a sweater always peek out giving it somewhat an unsightly look. It would have been more comfortable and better looking if it was the same length in the front as it is in the back.
I love this jacket. It's warm and protects you from the wind. And the way the two-tone combination is done - it gives the appearance of a fantastic shape! I have received many compliments on my new jacket and recommend it highly!
