This is comfy and warm. It's not the warmest and I find I might need to wear another warm wooly layer underneath, but overall, I think it is an effective jacket with very sturdy construction.
Good/excellent construction, good zippers, snug and warm, although I have not tested it in "the field"..So no true test: this jacket was purchased just returned from climbing Kilimanjaro; I suspect it would have done an excellent job on the mountain in terms of flexibility, resistance to abrasion, and wind resistance.
I am completely satisfied with the purchase of the Ascent Polartrec Fleece Jacket. I have purchased many fleece jackets over the years and this one is by far the most comfortable, warmest and most functional of all the fleece jackets I own. The jacket is well design and can be worn both as outside or under garnment
Over the years I have owned many Polartec products. I can honestly say this is the best. It is stylish, handsome and warm. I wanted a jacket that would work in any weather down to 20 degrees F and this is it. Recently wore it during a very windy night in Boston and never felt the wind.
