Bought this as well as the lower priced LL Bean fleece jacket to compare and also shopped other brands including NF. Returned the other LL Bean jacket. This one stands out and I am glad I went with it. It does stop wind better than other fleeces I have worn. Lighter weight but not flimsy and is warm until just below freezing. Great for travel, stylish and versatile. Minor complaint - pockets could be lined for better comfort.

The yellow sweater completes my acquisition including the matching insu. hooded jacket and Gortex parka. With another snowstorm due this friday night, I know they will all come in handy. The sweater is so cozy fleece inside with a more rugged outer surface. The extra protection of the 'harder' material adds to the warmth. It feels really impervious to wind...keeping me warm by itself in -20F windchill with a poly tshirt underneath. I feel super visible in it while Trikking and that is one reason I chose the yellow. The price is wicked reasonable, details are there that can not even be found on higher priced similar sweaters. Unbeatable value!!
Considering previous reviews about the sizing, I ordered an XL-tall instead of my usual LG-tall. The fit is perfect. I can even layer a heavy pullover under it and due to the tapered cut don't look like a polar bear. Sleeve length is perfect and it drops below my waist due to a longer hem in the back for perfect protection against the elements. I considered it earlier, but the sale price convinced me to buy it.
