ProsDurable, Great Value, Comfortable, Performing as Expected
I purchased this jacket for my son who is away in college and he loves it. He tells me that the jacket is very warm and comfortable and he loves the color. I ordered the blue and I am happy with the color and style of the jacket. I was concerned with the fit because of the reviews so I ordered the next size up from what he normally wears and the fit is perfect. This is really nice jacket, especially for an active college student who is always on the go.
I've used this jacket a few weeks and the fabric works as advertised. Very wind resistant and light drizzle beads. I was dubious about spending so much on a fleece jacket, but trust Polartec and I'm glad I did. I'm 5'9", weigh 155, so slim not skinny. Proportions are average and a large, if it is correctly designed, always fits well. Ditto a 42R sportcoat. The fit is just right on this jacket. No excess body material, enough room in the sleeves and they are long enough for biking, x-c skiing, etc., without dangling when not reaching out. I usually think that jackets for active wear shouldn't have set-in sleeves, but they work on this one because the material drapes and gives well. Having 3 pockets is great. I've used it in freezing temps with a vest under and was comfortable and up to 60's. I bought the black model, as it had the least contrasty colors (you don't see two-tone Ferraris and Porches, do you?) and it looks good.
