This is a fantastic all-around jacket. Great for rainy days, which are frequent here in London. The liner jacket really is great to wear on its own and together with the shell makes a perfect cold-weather jacket. Great length for raingear when most other jackets just hit at the hips. I found the fit true to size and like the fact that it's a bit tapered for a woman's body. I find this jacket stylish enough for the city as well as durable enough for a walk in the woods. I wish the hood had a built in visor, but that's a small complaint. I wear this coat rain or shine!
I am very pleased with every aspect of the coat except the fact that it is "slightly fitted". I know this fact was stated in the catalog but I don't care for it.
I am 5'8", 135lbs. Most coats are very boxy and clunky on me. But not this coat. What others have complained about in their reviews, I love: The fit of this coat. It is nicely proportioned and fitted, not sloppy and huge. At the same time, the quality of construction is great, it's warm, and it's nicely cut for windy and rainy conditions. The quilted liner works well alone, too. I just wish that more colors would be offered. Brown and black are boring.
I ordered an extra Large Coat. When you put the Thinsalate Liner in it , it becomes a medium size coat and you can hardly get it on over a swater.Other than that it is waterproof and will probably wear like Iron.
