I live in FL and bought this for a business trip to CT and England for 4 weeks in Nov. +1. The liner makes a great jacket. I wish I could buy another one separately. +2. The outer coat does a great job keeping the rain off. -1. It is not as warm as the temperature rating indicates. Since the coat is sized to fit, you cannot layer. -2. The zipper on the outer shell is terrible! I was only able to get it zipped 3 times during the 4 weeks and 1 of those times was while I was not wearing it but was testing it to see if the zipper actually worked. Thank goodness for the snaps! In all, I was glad I bought the coat and will keep it. * Fix the zipper, please! * Sell the jacket liner separately, please.
This jacket is so flexible I can wear it walking the dog or out for dinner with my favourite leather boots and jeans. However, the zipper is a serious problem as it takes several tries to get it to work and the two way zipper gets stuck on the liner when you need to open the jacket from the bottom. I have decided to return my jacket due to the frustration with the zipper.
I read other reviews before ordering and the positives were right on as well as the negatives. Love the versatility and waterproof quality. Outer coat zipper is a little tricky but not defective. The cut is slim through the hip and chest but arm length is generous. Quilted inner jacket is great looking
I ordered this coat for my elderly mom in her usual size. Unfortunately it was way too snug for her. I am bummed because it is just perfect but not going to fit. Buy a size larger than you are, there is no wiggle room.
