This coat is really good looking! It is slightly fitted, which I like. It doesn't look like I have a bag for a raincoat. I love both parts of this coat, and it kept me very dry in the rain. There is a trick to getting it zipped up, and the zipper does tend to stick, but I got the hang of it. It is easy to remove the inside coat when the weather warms up. Overall, a great investment.
I bought this coat for my mother. The coat is very well-made and has a very very nice fit, but it runs smaller. If you normally wear M size you should get large in this coat instead.
I had really high hopes for this coat. I live in New York but my family lives in Northern California, and I always struggle to figure out what coat to take with me when I visit at the holidays. I thought this would solve my problem by being both warm enough for a Northeast winter and light enough for the west, but unfortunately, I had fit problems. I ordered a small, which fit me great in the chest and shoulders, but was too tight in the hips where the liner jacket falls. I exchanged for a medium, which is too big all over. As others have said, the zipper catches at the bottom. Like, REALLY catches, and the zipper is also very stiff, so that the coat bulges uncomfortably when I sit down. I'm back to square one.
I purchased this item for my college daughter who will be studying in Italy for 4 months. She needed a coat to cover fall---rain--and some of winter. This coat was a perfect fit for her petite 5'2" frame. I gave it a 4 because she has not tried the coat in the Italian climate. The coat is light and easily packable. It does need to be hung because it wrinkles. The price may seem to be steep but where else could one get 3 coats in one? Excellent versatility.
