Child is a Size (S 8), I had ordered Size (M 10-12) for extra room and growth and the Size (M 10-12) was VERY small.
It is a good thing I decided to try it on and not wait until Christmas morning. It would have been a very disappointing not having for Vacation. However Customer Services once again is WONDERFUL to work with.
I have twin sons and they love these coats. All fall they wore the fleece insert alone. As it started to get wet and colder we added the shell. At first the shell was stiff in their carseats which meant they needed to unzip a little bit to avoid chaffing their chins. But the stiffness is gone now. They wear them everyday and do not complain about being cold. The hoods even work well for the sudden freezing rain shower. Well worth the investment.
We have now purchased 3 of these for our children over the years. One for our daughter and since we have three boys, we buy them and they are such great quality we just pass them on down the line! We just bought our latest one for our 10 year old and he loves it of course.
We love that they can use just the fleece for cooler days, the jacket w/o the fleece for cool, rainy days and the combination for really cold days. It is very versatile and meets all their warmth needs even in the in-between seasons like spring and fall. Great product, will buy more as needed because we know the quality is great!! Great colors... great idea.. but the liner coat needs to be fastened better to the outer coat, so when he puts it on and takes it off the lining in the sleeves doesn't stick to his clothes. I liked the down reversible coat we got a couple of years ago much better.
