I am very happy with this coat for my son. It is well made and everything I expect from LL Bean. I did read a review that suggested getting the next size up and am happy I followed those directions. This will be a coat that will last long enough I will be able to pass down to my other children.
I have a four year old who spends lots of time outside. The two separate coats provide ample coverage in all kinds of weather - there really is no need for another coat.
my son has very weak fine motor skills and usually has a hard time with zippers on his jackets. Not with this jacket. He has been so excited to put this jacket on and has not been frustrated one bit! No more getting off the school bus with his jacket wide open. The construction is fantastic. We are looking forward to hitting the slopes this winter and not hearing "I'm cold". Keep up the great work LLBean! Thank you :)
I have purchased this parka for my 6 year old son. The outer design is really nice and he can zip the zipper up no problem on his own. He got it extremely dirty and I just washed the outer jacket in the washer and it came out looking great again. The only problem is that the fleece sleeves stick to his shirts so every time he takes his coat off the sleeves get pulled half inside out- rather frustrating for a grade one boy in a hurry!
