My 7-yr-old son picked this jacket out in the catalog. Despite my efforts to take him to local stores, he insisted on this winter coat. I love the colors and overall style, but disappointed in the design. My son has reached frustration because it is difficult to put this coat on independently due to the sleeves of the fleece lining constantly twisting and getting caught up. I am considering permamently sewing the fleece into the coat to prevent the sleeve issue. For the cost of the coat, couldn't someone have created a better sleeve design? Doubt I will ever buy a winter coat from LLBean again.
this is a great coat but you should really order next size up if your child is the exact measurement on the size chart - I even called and spoke with a rep from LLbean and they had said there is room to grow and not to order a size larger - I am HOPING it fits with sweaters under it
