The parka is very nice and the zip out fleece jacket stands on its own, no need to buy another fleece jacket! Only drawback to the parka is the lack of a powder skirt or other feature to cinch in the waist for when the children are playing in the snow.
I simply love this jacket. Didn't realize how insulated it was, so I am glad I bought it a size bigger so my daughter can wear next winter. It was a great great purchase for the sale price.
My 4 year old loved it just as much or even more. We received it in time for one of our coldest days in Mississippi. Also it has her favorite color - pink :-)
It is generously sized, like all LLB products, but not bulky. Not for bitterly cold temperatures, but warm and weather resistant for outdoor playing and skiing. The inner, fleece, zip-out jacket makes taking this coat off difficult and I wish it was more secure at the shell's sleeves. In all a good buy.
Handsome coat, great LL Bean quality, but something is just not right with the sleeves in this jacket. I ordered two of these in different sizes for my boys, and both found they could not get their arms through the inner fleece lining without great difficulty. The openings seemed tight and the fleece hung up on their shirt sleeves. Too frustrating for my crew, so back they go. Too bad; this is a great looking, great quality little coat with so much wear power, if the sleeves would fit right.
