Perfect for snow and winter

I bought these boots for my first Wisconsin winter. These are probably the best pair of boots i have ever owned. They are very comfortable and kept my feet warm even when wearing them in deep snow while walking the dog. I also used them whilst snow blowing and not once were my feet cold. i would definitely recommend these boots.

as I ordered these boots late in the season, it's hard for me to give an honest review. I wear an 8.5 and they seem a little tight with a good sock on. when I read the other reviews before I ordered these they led me to believe they ran big so ordered a size 8. if I go up to a 9, then will I be floating in them? Undecided on what to do?

I purchased these boots to have a higher boot than the 8" Bean boots. They are great and meet all my expatiations. The shearling fold down is great when inside and just walking or sitting with friends.

My son loves these boots. They are his second pair of L. L.Bean Boots. His first pair are 4 years old and still in good shape, but they are unlined. He wanted a pair of lined ones to use in cold weather. He says they are very comfortable.

These boots are very comfortable and warm. Perfect for rainy, snowy, cold days in Pittsburgh. I'm bummed that I got them so late in the season b/c I think I'll have to wait until next year to wear them again. I got the narrow width b/c my foot is slightly more narrow than average. The narrow size fits me well. I usually wear an 8.5 or a 9. These are an 8 and they may still be a little bit long, but the 7 would be way to short I think. Also, there was an issue with the payment (my cc had expired in time it took to fulfill the back order) and a very nice woman in the offices in Maine called to set everything straight.

I wear an 11 B. You can't imagine how difficult it is to find a boot that will fit me. This boot is perfect. I just returned from a pheasant trip with a starting temperature of 17 degrees and a wind of at least 20 mph. My feet were toasty the entire time. After several miles of walking they remained as comfortable as when I first put them on. Over the course of the day the frozen field began to turn to mud...no problem. The customer service in answering my questions was outstanding. I would recommend this boot to anyone who loves the out doors and is tired of cold and wet feet! This is my third pair of LL Bean's boots. I smile everytime I put them on.

I got these just before a snow/rain/slush storm. They kept me warm and dry doing my chores. They do have plenty of room in them. I usually wear an 8.5-9 so I ordered an 8. I can wear heavyweight socks in these just fine. They are warm and comfortable. Just what I expect from LLB.

It was time to finally replace my 30-year old Bean boots and the same style was no longer available. These boots are a very good substitute. They are warm, waterproof, and exactly as advertised. The laces are not as easy to tighten as the "speed laces" on my former boots which is the only reason I did not give these a 5-star rating.

Got to use my boots for the first time the other day when we got a little snow and ice, kept my feet dry and warm. Used them with my LL Bean boot sox which made for an even better fit in the boot then regular sox. It took a little long to get them but well worth the wait. Plus knowing that it took long due to the fact that I was getting an in demand boot that other people were willing to wait a little long as well.

It is really difficult to find proper footwear for winter in Moscow - first of all it is sometimes very cold, and the second point is that chemicals is using to remove ice from roads. This chemical can corrode regulare footwear in few month.
These boots can solve both problems - they are warm and they are partially made from rubber.
And despite of rubber your feets can really breath.
So now I'm really happy - my feets are warm and I'm sure I'll wear these boots for few winters.
Note: I ordered medium width and discover that boots are little bit spacious, but for thick socks it's OK.

The Boots which were backordered till Jan arrived 2 weeks ahead of schedule, and in time for Christmas, a plus.
Fit: I have a wide foot across my bunions but a narrow heel, would have like to try on one size smaller but I am very satisfied with the fit and have not used them with heavy duty sox yet, so that may make a difference.
Quality: awesome although after I bought a great pair of boots to survive a 60 inch winter we have had limited snow in the northeast. On appearance stitching is great and one can see the care in the product. As many others I would have liked the ankle and leg sherling extended into the footwear. Used in zero degree weather for a few hours my feet although not warm were not cold either grade A.
These were to be my extreme weather boot but find it is becoming my all weather boot rain or snow

Have owned these boots for the past 2 weeks and can't say enough good things about them. They do run large so I had to go a size down and they fit perfect. The lining feels awesome on a cold winter day. Would def recommend to anyone looking for a good pair of winter boots.

I had to wait to get these since they were back ordered and really needed them for an upcoming trip to New York. Got them sooner than predicted but I ordered a size 10 (I usually wear a 10.5) and they were at least a size too large and were too wide even with bulky socks. Also the bulk of the lining makes it difficult to pull the laces tight. Great looking boot, well made, and seems they would be really comfortable. Too bad. The 3 stars are for disappointment - would give a 4 otherwise.

My husband loves his new "Bean Boots"! They are well made and comfortable -- I would have liked to see the sheerling extend down to the foot bed, however. I was a little disappointed that I ordered them in early December and that they were in stock at the time of order but a later message showed backordered to January. I chose the wide just because they were in stock and medium was out of stock. The package did arrive in time for Christmas and all worked out well, but I might not have ordered them if I thought they were out of stock at the time. We do have a local store and I might have tried that vs. the on-line order if I had all the correct information. Either way the product speaks for itself and my husband is pleased, which means I am pleased!

I purchased these boots to use in the snow. we did not get any snow in NYC yet. However i did wear them on Mon.
the inside seam that separates the above part of the boot to the bottom is a bit raw.
although i was using boot socks, the seam left marks on my foot.
hopefully with wear the seam would flatten out.

I've wanted a pair of these boots sense I was in college and have never pulled the triger, until now (some 20 after school) And I'm happy to report that these boots are everything I expected. They arived in the the time promised, they fit perfect and they were made very well! The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars was that I wish the lining extended around the foot and that the sole had been padded

The problem with wearing some hunting-style boots is their lack of traction on ice. I have worn such otherwise excellent boots, but have taken spills. Not only are my 10" Shearling-lined boots comfortable and warm, they provide better traction than other brands!
